Unlocking your phone will give you the freedom to purchase or use a SIM card from another network or carrier in your own country.
You'll need a special code that will remove T-Mobile restrictions when entered into the phone. There are services online that sell codes for almost any Nokia cell phone model.
A lot of Nokia models can be unlocked with free software unlock code calculator and all you deed to do is to get your free unlock code and enter it into your cellphone.
Once you have finished entering a code that works you should see a message that says "SIM is not restricted" or "Restriction off" message depending on your model. If not, try entering another code.
